My coming out experience was mainly me dropping into casual conversation that I’m not attracted to men. I didn't like the idea of making a big deal of it because I figured since people don’t have to come out as straight I could do the same. Most of my family does not know yet but I plan to tell them someday, possibly when I’m in a relationship. I believe their reaction will be accepting, but I’m still not ready to tell them quite yet.

I think resources, like this website, that are aimed towards friends and family can help them be more understanding and accepting, while also taking a large amount of stress off of the person who is coming out. Furthermore, I think that this type of site would be helpful for people who are new to the community and also helpful to the families of those people.
